Irene Polinsky, well-known Duluth resident, died Thursday, Jan. 16, 1997, in St. Mary's Medical Center from cancer.

She was a valued member of the Radisson Hotel organization as an employee of the gift shop for 23 years. Previously, with her late husband, Lyle, she owned and operated the National Liquor Store. She was a past matron, Zenith Chapter No. 25, O.E.S., and a member of Temple Israel and Hadassah.

She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews, Gail Weiss, Sarah Crosby, Jack Shapiro, Oral Ann Puglisi, Donna Tucker, Phyllis Atol, and Richard, Donald and Allen Larson; great-nieces and nephews Cynthia Jasperson, Reuben and John Shapiro, Linda, Debra and Jeffrey Firestone, and Fred, Dan and Rick Puglisi; and special friends, Margaret Berg and Arvid Arvila.

Services: 2 p.m. Sunday in Temple Israel Synagogue. Burial will be in Temple Emanuel Cemetery. Memorials to St. Mary's Foundation (Hospice Unit) or to the donor's choice would be appreciated. Arrangements by Johnson's Mortuary.
